The hobby I feel most passionate about is photography. I’ve always enjoyed snapping photos, but in the past few years I’ve been working to cultivate that enjoyment into a more refined skill.
I actively take classes, join photo walk Meetups and belong to several photography clubs. Associating with others who share my passion is very enjoyable and provides the best environment for improving.
Some of my favorite spots for shooting are (in no particular order; Colorado high country, Mt. Evans, Crested Butte, the Western Slope, New Mexico, Taos, Santa Fe, Bosque del Apache, Utah, Moab, Dead Horse Point, Monument Valley and any of Utah’s many awesome parks.
Of course I can be happy just sitting in a field of flowers or hiking along the Dakota Ridgeback in Jefferson County. Roxborough offers so much beauty and it’s practically in my own back yard!
Then there’s 16th Street in Denver. Now there’s a great place to catch some urban street scenes! Oh my list is endless!
For me, photography was just an extension of my business. As an Ambassador to people moving to Colorado from other areas, I found sharing my photos was the best way to familiarize them with the area. Visit my Denver Photo Blog to see what I mean. More of my work can be found on Kristal Kraft ~ Denver Dwellings.
